The United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit will decide possible immunity for Trump

The federal judge presiding over former President Donald Trump's "election interference" trial in Washington, D.C., has suffered another setback as her March trial date looks increasingly unlikely to hold.

U.S. District Judge Tanya Chutkan initially scheduled the trial to begin on March 4. Trump pleaded not guilty to four charges in special counsel Jack Smith's investigation.

The case is currently on hold pending a decision from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit. on whether Trump should be granted immunity from prosecution because the charges against him are related to his presidency.
